Red face Is it possible I have A Monk/Assasin?

Well I have bought the game, but I didn't have time to read everything (i know maybe to fast) but I wanted a Monk and I think I have the Assasin profession? I'm not sure.

But Now I'm on the mainland and I'm getting my ass kicked by those freaking Jade brotherhood dudes.

What do I need to get a very powerfull monk?

Slap 8 shadow arts, Return and Dark escape on your monk if you having trouble surviving. In a few missions you can change your secondary to whatever you like, as long as its factions related.

He means put your Shadow Arts level up to level 8 and add Return and Dark Escape to your skill bar.

Monks generally aren't made for fighting like warriors, so you'll probably want a weapon that halves skill recharges for your spells (especially the attribute you use the most), halves casting times for spells, adds extra energy, and extends your enchantments.

I worked with an inscribed staff, and have jet been ripped of in buying a very highly useless weapon.

I was on the internet browsing for some good advice on how to make my monk better, but I haven't found it yet.

So if there is anybody who can give me advice in weapon choice and skills? please leave a message

Ok, there are a few sets of weapons you may eventually want to get. Here is what I have for my monk.

Regular set:
Halves casting time/halves recharge time wand and focus of chosen attribute

An Anti E-Denial set with a -5 energy sword and -5 energy focus

A Hale(+30hp) staff of fortitude(+30hp)

A Insightful(+5energy) staff of Enchanting(20%) with "Hale and Hearty(+5energy)" inscription

Wand and focus both with the +15energy -1energy regen mods(don't use these unless you really need energy fast)

With those sets you should be doing pretty well as a monk. They can be plain colector items if you don't have the cash to buy the expensive ones, thats what I use at least.

Don't bother buying stuff from other people unless it's a green. You should be able to get most perfect green monk weapons for a few thousand gold. Alternatively, just try to keep the best staff you can find off the ground.

And I don't see how you've "searched the internet" but can't find any monk advice. There's a billion threads in this forum alone that teaches you the basics of monking.

You just got to the mainland, right? And you're trying to get to Kaineng Centre with henchies, right? And you're level 15 with noob armour, right?

Get 2 warrior henchies, 2 monk henchies, and go here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Kaineng_Center

Buy armour, do some quests till you're level 20, and don't buy stuff in towns. If you don't have enough gold to buy armour, you can grind for it, or join a guild and beg nicely.

[skill]Return[/skill]

One of the best skills for monking.

Getting pressured? BAM! You're out of reach from the Warrior, and with the cripple, you have time to run.
